We've received some requests for products and projects that are suitable for Kids or Kids-At-Heart. So we've developed this list of links to help you find some fun, safe and simple-to-use items. Perhaps you're encouraging your children to make their holiday, birthday or other gifts. What a fabulous way to make a mess together and build wonderful memories at the same time! ** Cards By You Kits ** From Inkadinkado - Eight Kits to choose from with everything you need to assemble one-of-a-kind greeting cards. Self-adhesive embellishments, Window cards in fun patterns and colors, accent papers and Rubber Stamps! Visit: Cards By You Kit - Silly Friends for a kit filled with fun animal friends and warm greetings. ** Paper Punches ** Paper Punches are a fun way to create interesting paper shapes and interesting shapes in paper! Note that Punches are sometimes difficult for little hands (and older hands as well). For kids, we recommend open punch styles (versus intricate designs) that punch out a single shape - like leaves, clouds, hearts, etc. You'll find these types of designs at: http://www.rubberd.com/punch2.htm ** Rollagraph Self Inking Wheels ** Kids love these wheels. I don't think they care what the DESIGN is, it's the amazement of what happens when they roll them across paper... a continuous line of decoration for as long as they roll. The Standard & Jumbo sized wheels require adult assembly (insert the ink cartridge, the wheel and you're done). Standard Rollagraph Wheels at: http://www.rubberd.com/rgwheels.htm And we're sending an update shortly with some selected JUMBO Wheels on sale. Meanwhile, you can order ANY design at: http://www.rubberd.com/rgjumbo.htm ** Gel Pens ** We have a lot of success keeping kids busy with stamps and Gel Pens. Especially ages 6 and up. They love to stamp a design then sit and color, color, color with the many glittery and metallic Gel Pens we carry. These pens are made by Sakura and we are very pleased with their flow and longevity (they don't dry up as quickly or get as clogged as previous brands). The Sakura GLAZE pens are also very cool, but kids don't always have the patience to wait for these to dry and will smear them before they get the full effect of the raised glossy ink. This would be an "older kid" product. Go to: http://www.rubberd.com/pens.htm ** Kids Love Rubber Stamping ** - 30 Min. Video A great video from Clearsnap that shows kids doing all kinds of fun projects. Kids like to watch it and try the projects themselves as well! GO TO: http://www.rubberd.com/videos.htm ** Instruction Guides ** We have lots of books with great instructions on how to make all kinds of projects. Two in particular have fun and easy ideas. Many will take adult supervision and help, but can be adapted to children's abilities. Hot off the Press: "The Basics of Rubber Stamping" Design Originals: "Shrink Art in Style" You'll find these and more instruction guides on our Books page at: http://www.rubberd.com/books.htm ** Shrink Plastic ** You can find Shrink Plastic (Kids love to watch through the oven door as their decorated pieces of plastic shrink into miniature shapes!) at: http://www.rubberd.com/shrink.htm *** That's it for now - Stay tuned for more ideas and adventures coming soon! ***
